Meta Mehling is a business coach with a rich background in marketing communications, executive communications and public relations. She has experience in partnering with coaching clients, particularly in the communications area, who seek professional development and excellence in their work.
In addition to coaching, Meta has designed and implemented major communication programs for top organizations where clear communication is required to actively and appropriately address information needs. An expert in “difficult communications” Meta builds trust and credibility for the management team while creating new opportunities for generating lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, partners and employees.
Meta has extensive experience in integrated communication programs across the entire marketing spectrum. She has wide-ranging expertise in strategic program planning and implementation as well as public relations and executive, employee and marketing communications. Meta has led programs for AT&T, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, National Semiconductor, NetApp, Warner Music Group and many other firms and start-up enterprises.
Before establishing her own practice in 2000, Meta previously worked in communications at Hewlett Packard, National Semiconductor and several advertising and public relations agencies.
She has been recognized for marketing excellence by The Wall Street Journal. The San Jose Mercury News named her one of the top communications professionals in the Silicon Valley. She has also received awards for her work from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Meta holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and Business from San Jose State University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Silicon Valley IABC.
